Xerte

Xerte is an online learning design tool and Open Educational Resource (OER) that was originally developed at the University of Nottingham with funding from JISC and the HEA. At Lincoln we have embedded it in the curriculum and asked students to use it to create online learning objects to engage a variety of audiences with history.

We have made various sources of support available for students using Xerte in their learning at Lincoln. We have student ambassadors, who have been trained to support you in case you have any problems with using the technology – their contact details and office hours can be found via the following weblink.

We have also made a Xerte object which has guidance on how to create the various templates that will be used as part of the Making Digital History project. You should ONLY use the templates on this Xerte object when making the Xerte object as we have not tested the others. If you want to use a different template, please consult your tutor.

You can access further support materials via the following pages:

Our student ambassadors are also available to answer questions and support your engagement with Xerte.
