Research assistant – Dr Muzna Rahman

I recently received my PhD from the University of Manchester (2012). My thesis focused on images of food and hunger in a variety of postcolonial situations, and my current research builds on the idea of hunger and I hope to expand it by examining the topic of contemporary food anxieties as they manifest in a globalized world.

I am currently working as a hourly paid lecturer at the University of Lincoln and Manchester Metropolitan University. I’m particularly looking forward to teaching on a level three course at Lincoln entitled ‘Gothic Literature and Film.’

I have been working as a research assistant on the ‘Making Digital History’ project since June 2013.
